Unrivalled data quality from remote sites
With its powerful multi-core architecture and enterprise-grade Linux OS, the Cortex Controller is an edge computer that underpins the success of our comprehensive energy management service for decentralized energy systems.
This compact and ruggedized controller has been crafted to ensure the most reliable user experience in challenging environments.
Why choose the Cortex Controller:
Connectivity made easy
There is no need to source and maintain local SIMs, it has an integrated 2G/3G/4G modem and globally roaming multi-carrier IoT data plan with cyber security measures.
Robust and reliable
An industry-first, featuring opto-isolation on every port for full short-circuit protection. Built with industrial-grade circuit board components and a ruggedized enclosure, it withstands heat up to 70°C.
Built-in backup
Its internal smart Lithium battery provides emergency alerts and sensor data when site power fails.
Data backfilling
It features an industry-first of M2 solid-state drives, allowing for local storage of years of data. If a connection is lost, backfilled data is uploaded for seamless reporting.
Real-time alerts
It acquires data from energy assets at up to 1-second resolution, effectively triggering warning alarms for identified faults and threshold limits.
Maximum flexibility
With an extensive range of I/O and WiFi, BT, and LoRa wireless connectivity, it is truly vendor-agnostic and reliably identifies faults and threshold limits of all equipment.
Simple installation
A plug-and-play device, the Cortex Controller is designed for easy installation, and when in place, engineers can use our Field Commissioning App to configure the energy assets on site.
It also facilitates over-the-air communication when integrating additional electrical and power system equipment using Modbus communication protocols.
Troubleshoot onsite
Designed with a 4-inch, sunlight-readable, high-resolution touchscreen, the Cortex Controller allows field engineers to view critical data and energy system information to support operations and on-the-ground troubleshooting capabilities.
