Mike has always worked at the heart of decentralized renewable energy and IoT in Africa. 

Employed at a London tech company, he was posted to Ghana in 2006 to set up an ICT classroom for a partner charity. Frustrated by the constant power cuts, he founded Aleutia, a hardware startup, that manufactures ruggedized computers powered by off-grid solar energy, storage systems, and connected with IoT. 

His solution was deployed in classrooms, clinics, and businesses in more than 50 countries. 

After an industry acquisition and driven by his passion for displacing diesel, he brought his domain experience to Africa’s largest distributed energy market, telecom towers.
